Metro Box Cargo has been in operation since 2013 to cater to the Filipino community in the San Francisco Bay Area. Egay Tajonera, the founder, started out as an employee of a freight forwarding company. Driving trucks and picking up the boxes himself for more than 10 years, he understood what the balikbayan box industry needed. He and his wife, Mabelle Perez-Tajonera, were inspired to transform all of their labor and inspiration into a business they could call their own by their enthusiasm for offering first-rate door-to-door service. Metro Box Cargo ensures a fully customized service from pick up to delivery. We understand that each cargo is different from a simple box shipping, car shipment, container shipment, sea cargo, shared container shipments, down to a dual citizen who happens to be a returning resident wanting to repatriate everything they own to the Philippines.
